Baked Macaroni and cheese

Voici une recette américaine proposée par notre assistante d'anglais, Kali, qui vient du Tennesse, aux Etats-Unis:

Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 onces) package of macaroni
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 spoons of butter, melted
  • 2,5 cups of shredded Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Grease a baking dish.

   

3. Fill a large pot of salted water.

4. Boil the macaroni for 5 minutes.

   

5. Whisk the egg and milk together in a large cup.

6. Add butter and cheese to the egg and milk.

   

7. Stir well.

8. Place the macaroni in the baking dish.

   

9. Pour the egg and cheese liquid over the macaroni.

10. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and stir well.

   

11. Press the mixture.

12. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
